A dashboard gadget that shows how many days are left until a date you choose.

| Target date | Required. The day you are counting down to. |
| Start date | Optional. Set it and a progress bar appears, showing how far along you are. |
| Count | Calendar days counts every day. Business days skips Saturday and Sunday. |
| Warn when days left is under | The number turns amber at or below this. Default 7. |
| Alert when days left is under | It turns red at or below this. Default 3. It is capped at the warn value. |
| Show progress bar | Only has an effect when a start date is set. |
Business days skip Saturday and Sunday. Public holidays are not skipped. Holidays differ by country and by company, and a built-in list would be wrong for most people, so Countdown does not guess.
The count uses the date on the device you are looking at. Two people in different time zones may briefly see a different number near midnight. This is intentional — you want the answer for your calendar.
Open the gadget’s ••• menu and select Remove. This deletes that gadget and its settings. Nothing else is affected — Countdown never writes to your issues, so there is nothing left behind.
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| “Not configured yet” | No target date is set. Open the gadget menu and select Edit. |
| The number is one day off | Check whether you meant calendar days or business days, and check the date on your own device. |
| “Subscription required” | The licence has lapsed. Your Jira administrator can renew it under Settings → Apps. |
| The gadget is blank | Reload the page. If it stays blank, write to us with your Jira site address and we will look. |
Write to support@getonesty.app. A person reads every message. Telling us your Jira site address and what you expected to see saves a round trip.
